You know... you really are a rather mean person for putting me and Severus through this, you know? Hasn't he been through enough over the years? Do you really think you should be allowed to play with people's lives like this? The City itself is bad enough, but do you really need to cause this amount of emotional repercussion for your own amusement? It's shameful.

And do you think you even have a handle on my character? You've never written me before. In fact, I'm pretty sure you're just doing this because you can't do the "dead wife" set up with your other poor "puppet". And just so you are perfectly clear, Severus and I never had a romantic relationship, so you'd better throw that out of your mind right here and now. I refuse to have my emotions played with.

I guess she just didn't like playing with her or something... and I guess the other person she was trying to torture was turned loose too... so she got a break. I'm not sure.

I was the first person this chick grabbed and I've been here the longest of this group. It isn't always bad, per se... it's normally just embarassing stuff. And normally when I'm getting into trouble, D is there to knock bale me out.

So... hopefully... maybe "Severus" will be able to keep an eye on you too.

Well... normally I'm pretty good at doing the same, but a lot of times the City curses take away your reason--which is why it's a good thing to try to keep lots of friends who will watch out for you when you are cursed.

There was one curse where I thought I was in love with one of his family's enemies. Come hell or high water I was going to go see that little cat-eared bastard. D stopped me from waltzing into trouble. Another time I was briefly turned into a homicidal maniac, and Walter stopped me and tied me up until it was over before I accidentally killed someone...

So it isn't so much a thing of people watching over you because you can't take care of yourself, but watching over you for when you just AREN'T yourself.

And... yeah... it's just "D". Actually stands for Dante too-many-names-for-me-to-remember Hellsing. Long story short, he had a bit of a fight with his dad and got disowned... and dropped the name.

No... not really. If she wants to hit you with one, you're going to get hit. It's just a matter of whether it's going to embarass us, or cause us grief. Bastards. But, like I said, once in a while she'll throw you a bone. At least, she threw me a bone...

Oh, she'll work a curse day in your favor--or set something up with others so that something nice happens to you for once.

One thing she did for me was coordinated a curse with the person who handles D so that we could be together without him accidentally killing me. As awful as all of this can be, I'm grateful just for that.

Yeah. Well, good luck in the City, Lily. Hopefully she won't hit you with too much angst. I think she mainly wants you around for WTF-ery. Maybe we'll meet in the City. Though I doubt it. She keeps me away from Kenshin, so she'll probably do the same with you.

And as far as that age discrepancey? I'm going to be 19 on the 6th. D is over 12,000 years old. If you feel anything for your friend... I say go for it, what the hell.

And... Holy... Severus and I have always just been friends. If he didn't do the things that he did it may have turned out different, but he made decisions that I couldn't stand by him with. So... no.

Basically, around your time humans destroy the world, and vampires rebuild it and enslave humanity. 12,000 years later, Earth is a shithole, women are treated like trash, monsters and mutants run amok, the Frontier has turned people into monsters themselves, and we're all scared shittless of the nobility.
